BIG PINE KEY, FL – Monroe County Fire Rescue had a “ruff” Tuesday afternoon. The crew of Station 13 on Big Pine Key responded at 5:30 p.m. to a call of a dog trapped in the gutter of a second-floor roof at a home on West Shore in Eden Pines.

The crew of Captain Timmy Leonard, firefighter Michael Jachelski, firefighter Joel Herera and firefighter Benjamin Lebish successfully rescued Tucker without injury.

Tucker, a 2-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who weighs 86 pounds, was most grateful to his rescuers and gladly posed with them for a photo.
