Public Information Meeting
Roadway Projects on State Road (SR) 5/US 1/Overseas Highway
Miami - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six will hold a public information meeting about roadway projects on SR 5/US 1/Overseas Highway on Knight Key at Knight’s Key Boulevard, Mile Marker (MM) 47.0 to the Coast Guard Station entrance, MM 48.0, and on Grassy Key from N. Dolphin Avenue, Mile Marker (MM) 54.5 to south of Kyle Avenue, MM 57.4, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the City of Marathon Fire Rescue, 8900 Overseas Highway, Marathon, FL 33050. The meeting will follow an informal format that allows the public to arrive at any time from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Graphic displays of the project will be shown and FDOT staff will be on hand to discuss the project and answer questions.
The proposed work for the roadway project includes: repaving and restriping the road, installing a paved northbound and southbound shoulder, reconstructing the slope of the road, upgrading drainage structures, installing new traffic signs and installing guardrails.
