MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

 

Any person who wishes to be heard shall provide the Clerk with his or her name and residence and the agenda item on which he or she wishes to be heard.   Such information shall be on a card provided by the County.  Once public input begins, there will be no further speaker cards allowed to be submitted to the Clerk for that subject.  An individual has three minutes and a person representing an organization has five minutes to address the Board (except that individuals wishing to speak during public hearings pertaining to land use issues will have five minutes).  The first person representing the organization will be allowed the five minutes.  Subsequently, all other speakers on behalf of that organization have three minutes to address the Board.  Once an individual has addressed the Board, he or she will not be permitted to return to the podium for follow-up comments, unless the issue involved is quasi judicial in nature.  In that case, the applicant may return to the podium to conclude his or her position at the end of the public hearing.

1.         Board of County Commissioner Workshop on County Administrator Tom Willi’s Evaluation.

 

 

 

B.                SPECIAL MEETING

1.                  Approval of Amendment to Employee Agreement with Thomas J. Willi, County Administrator, raising the County Administrator’s base salary by 4% to reflect the agreement entered into with Mayor Nelson for $10,000 bonus after one year. VIEW

2.                  Discussion of the Capital Improvements Plan. VIEW

3.                  Approval to apply for funding for wastewater treatment system construction in accordance with the Monroe County Sanitary Wastewater Master Plan from Florida’s State Revolving Loan Fund. VIEW

B.        SPECIAL MEETING - CONTINUED

4.         Approval to levy a $4,500 per EDU sewer connection fee for those properties designated as Tier III in the Duck Key and Big Coppitt Key sewer service areas through Little Torch Key, excluding Baypoint. VIEW

5.                  Approval to levy the MSTU special assessment in Fiscal Year 2007 in the following sewer service areas:  Duck Key, Conch Key, Baypoint, Big Coppitt, Cudjoe-Sugarloaf, and Big Pine Key. VIEW

6.                  Approval for Staff to evaluate Blimp Road site as a location for the Cudjoe-Sugarloaf Sewer Area Wastewater Treatment Plant. VIEW

7.         Discussion of options to treat wastewater from the Big Coppitt Sewer area. VIEW

8.         Discussion by Bill Barry of Key West Resort and Utility will discuss Stock Island commercial hook-up and the Code Enforcement proceedings postponement. VIEW
