STATE ROAD LANE CLOSURES

 

Wearing a safety belt is the single most effective way to

protect people and reduce fatalities in motor vehicle crashes.

 

Motorists are encouraged to call 511 before they drive or log on to

www.fl511.com to get real-time traffic and lane closure information.

 

Please drive cautiously in work zones.

 

Please note that these schedules are tentative and could be impacted by bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

 

Miami-Dade County

 

U.S. 1 (S.R. 5) S.W. 344 Street to Mile Marker 115.94

There are no lane closures scheduled for this week.

 

U.S. 1 (S.R. 5) Mile Markers 127 to 128


One northbound lane of U.S. 1 will be closed from Mile Marker (MM) 127 to MM 128 in Florida City, Monday through Friday February 1, 2010 through Friday, February 5, 2010.  Work is scheduled for the non-peak daytime hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times and access to businesses will be provided. Please note this schedule is tentative and may change due to bad weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

State Road (S.R.) 5 (U.S. 1/Overseas Hwy) - Grassy Key (MM 57.4 to MM 59.9)

Week of February 01, 2010

Lane closures are planned along the northbound and southbound lanes in order to accommodate road construction operations from Mile Marker, (MM) 57.4 to MM 59.9, between 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. In addition, travel lanes will be shifted and narrowed from 12 to 11 feet in some portions within the project limits. Please exercise caution and obey the reduced 45 MPH speed limit throughout the limits of the project. West Summerland Key at MM 34, and on Little Duck Key at MM 40

Week of February 08, 2010

During the re-construction project, the boat ramps and parking areas at Summerland Key, MM 34, and Little Duck Key, MM 40, will be closed. This project should in no way impact traffic on Overseas Highway / U.S. 1 / State Road (S.R.) 5. Work will mainly be concentrated in the area directly adjacent to the ramps. SR 5 (US 1/Overseas Hwy) Hurricane Wilma Repairs at MM 5.310 to 31.50

Week of February 08, 2010

No lane shifts are planned from Monday, February 8 thru Friday, February 12, 2010, from MM 5.310 to MM 31.5 in order to provide access for heavy equipment to work on roadway slopes.  Motorists are encouraged to call 511 before they drive or log on to www.fl511.com to get real-time traffic and lane closure information. State Road 5 (U.S. 1)

One northbound lane or one southbound lane on U.S. 1 between mile marker 93 and mile marker 104.6 will be closed at various sequential locations daily, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., February 8, 2010 and February 9, 2010.

 

The lanes on U.S. 1 from mile marker 77.5 to mile marker 78.5 will be shifted daily, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., March 2, 2010 and March 3, 2010. Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority crews will be performing utility work.

 

The lanes on U.S. 1 at mile marker 73 (Channel Two Bridge) are shifted Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., through February 26, 2010. Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority crews are performing utility work.

 

One northbound lane and one southbound lane on U.S. 1 from mile marker 47.5 to mile marker 49.2 are closed Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., through July 1, 2010.

 

One northbound lane and one southbound lane on U.S. 1 from mile marker 35.288 to mile marker 35.568 are closed Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., through March 1, 2010.

 

The northbound lane or the southbound lane on U.S. at mile marker 29.5 will be closed daily, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., February 8, 2010 through February 10, 2010. A flagging crew will be on site to direct traffic.
