REVISED U.S. 1 "The Stretch" Traffic Update 4-26-07
Overseas Highway/US 1 (SR 5)
  April 26, 2007

The northbound lane of U.S. 1 will be closed between Mile Marker (MM)
  106 and MM 108 from 8 p.m.-5:30 a.m. on Monday, April 30, Tuesday, May 1
and Thursday, May 3. These lane closures are necessary so crews can work
  on the Jewfish Creek Bridge.
While one lane of U.S. 1 is closed, northbound and southbound traffic
will use the other lane alternately, and a flagger will direct traffic
through the work zone. Motorists might experience delays of up to 10
minutes during the closures, and can use Card Sound Road as an alternate
route, but must pay the standard toll.
Watch for truck traffic and shoulder work throughout the construction
zone. The speed limit is 35 mph from MM 106 to MM 108 and 45 mph from
approximately Mile Marker (MM) 108 to MM 116.
For more information, please contact Patti Jones, public information
  officer, at (305) 481-1186.
