Nighttime Lane Closure Scheduled for U.S. 1
Please be advised that a flagging operation will take place on the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys, Nightly, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, through June 30, 2006. Crews will be repairing the bridge deck and the Barrier wall.

U.S. 1 “The Stretch” Traffic Update
The southbound lane of U.S. 1 between Mile Markers 108-110 will be closed from 8 p.m.-5:30 a.m. Sunday, June 25 through Thursday, June 29.
While one lane of U.S. 1 is closed, northbound and southbound traffic will use the other lane alternately, and a flagger will direct traffic through the work zone. Motorists might experience delays of up to 10 minutes during the closures, and can use Card Sound Road as an alternate route, but must pay the standard toll.

Following this lane closure, both driving lanes of U.S. 1 will shift slightly to the west just north of the Jewfish Creek Bridge.

Watch for shoulder work and truck traffic throughout the construction zone. The speed limit is 35 mph from Mile Markers 106-109.

For more information, please contact Patti Jones, public information officer, at (305) 481-1186.

US 1 at Mile Marker 106
This week, workers will close two travel lanes on US 1 in the vicinity of MM 106 from 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to install an overhead Dynamic Message Sign. Two northbound lanes will be closed and northbound traffic will be shifted onto one southbound lane. When work is completed on this side, workers will reopen the northbound lanes, close two southbound lanes and shift southbound traffic onto one northbound lane. Please note that one lane will remain open in each direction at all times. This work is expected to take one night to complete. Bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances might impact this schedule. For more information, please call (305) 499-2391.
