The office handles all job vacancies, employment applications, employment advertisements, and all paperwork pertaining to hiring and personnel actions. We keep employee and applicant files, job descriptions, and maintain the pay plan. The Human Resources Section also handles public records requests, the County’s Drug Free Workplace Policy, and New Employee Orientation.
The office is also responsible for any Equal Opportunity issues, such as advising on legal matters on the subject, counseling employees and ensuring that Monroe County complies with all applicable labor laws. Any questions regarding policy, employment opportunities, compensation, or employee information can be directed to Human Resources.
The Board of County Commissioners does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability or other similar factors that are not job-related. Monroe County encourages minorities and military veterans to apply.
