The Purchasing Section is a service-oriented agency for the operating departments of Monroe County government. Purchasing assists in the purchase of products and services for the many and varied needs of the county taxpayers. The Competitive bidding of bulk purchases by sealed bids, RFP's, RFQ is conducted by Purchasing to insure the best items at the best prices.

The Mission of Monroe County’s Purchasing section of Administrative Services is to provide quality purchasing and contracting support to all county departments in a timely, cost effective and professional manner. As purchasing professionals:
