Chris Ambrosio received his Bachelor’s degree cum laude from the University of Florida; Master’s degree summa cum laude from Florida State University; and Juris Doctor with distinctions and honors from St. Thomas University. He served as judicial clerk and staff attorney for the Honorable Chief Judges David Levy and Richard Suarez at the Third District Court of Appeal. Mr. Ambrosio was outside counsel for dozens of local governments, including Monroe County and municipalities in the Florida Keys and his practice focuses on government defense at all levels of civil litigation in both federal and state courts. He has represented government employees, public officials and departments, and corporate entities in every phase of litigation. He has experience in risk management, public procurement, construction and project management. Mr. Ambrosio is admitted to practice law in all federal districts and state courts in Florida.
In addition to leading the Risk Management Team, Mr. Ambrosio represents the County’s Project Management and Facilities Development Departments.
