Batteries and Waste Oil -no charge for residents or businesses: Accepted only at Cudjoe Key and Long Key Transfer Stations and Magnolia Recycling Center during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday, 8am to 4pm. Five (5) Gallon Maximum Per Resident, Per Trip. For Businesses Five (5) Gallon Maximum Per Business, Per Trip.
Please note: Batteries should no longer be placed in recycling bins.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) - no charge for County residents; $.50 each for fluorescent bulbs.

Commercial HHW fees - $.60 per pound/$.50 each for fluorescent bulbs. Contaminated gasoline accepted for $.78 per gallon (residents and businesses).

Accepting: paints, solvents, resins, household and garden chemicals, fluorescent/CFL light bulbs, mercury-containing devices and numerous other materials listed in the Monroe County Recycling Brochure. Call 305 289-6037 for details.

Second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 10am to 2pm


Electronic Waste (e-waste) drop-off - no charge for County residents; commercial e-waste fees $0.06175 per pound. Accept: computers, printers, televisions, cellular phones, and other electronics listed in the Monroe County Recycling Brochure. Call 305 289-6037 for details.

Construction and demolition (C&D) debris – Service not included in residential service. Service providers may collect these items; fees will apply.
