Christina Cory comes to the Monroe County Attorney's Office with nearly a decade of practical experience and service to the State of Florida. Before beginning her role as Assistant County Attorney, Ms. Cory served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 16th Judicial Circuit in both the Marathon and Key West offices. During her nearly nine-year tenure with the State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Cory prosecuted all levels of criminal offenses and counseled law enforcement on a variety of cases.
Before relocating to the Florida Keys, Ms. Cory gained invaluable experience as a certified legal intern for the Office of Statewide Prosecution. She also served as a judicial intern for the then Honorable Ashley Moody while in law school.
Ms. Cory received her Juris Doctor degree from the Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where she earned recognition for her top appellate brief in legal research and writing as well as book awards in admiralty law and legal research and writing. Ms. Cory obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida.
Ms. Cory is a United States Coast Guard licensed captain and an active member of the Florida Keys community.
