On Monday, April 16, 2012, the Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) will start a roadway project on
State Road (SR) 5/North Roosevelt Boulevard from
Eisenhower Drive to US 1, and on SR AlA/South
Roosevelt Boulevard from US 1 to the Riviera Canal, in
the City of Key West. This project will last about 27
months and cost an estimated $41.5 million.
This Project Includes:
• Rebuilding, repaving and re-striping the road
• Rebuilding the promenade and replacing the seawall
• Installing new storm water drainage
• Replacing water and Sewer mains
• Replacing traffic signals with hurricane resistant signals
• Installing new sidewalks and crosswalks
• Installing new streetlights
• Installing new landscaping
